First EU-wide survey on violence against women

Dear all,

Thank you, NANE, for an inspiring day to learn about your activities and participate in the silent witness march 2012!

I would like to draw the attention of all learners to the first EU-wide survey on violence against women that the EU Fundamental Rights Agency has conducted in 2012. The survey results will be made available in 2013. More information on this project can be found on the following sites:

http://fra.europa.eu/en/project/2012/fra-survey-womens-well-being-and-safety-europe

http://fra.europa.eu/en/news/2012/efforts-end-violence-against-women-require-better-understanding-situation-europe

I hope that this survey will give new evidence on violence against women in Europe and will trigger more action and political will from policy makers and implementers. Hopefully NANE and other organisations will also be able to use the data to exchange even more with other European organisations about strategies to combat this violence, including law-related education.

Best wishes,
Evelyn

  1. Glad to see this type of post in which you are talking about violence against women. This is very common in today's society and it should be resolved.
